Long before motion capture was on every desk, 3ds Max shipped with this fellow: a hand-keyframed cartoon ape, shuffling along with his hand on his chest like he’s late for something important. He’s been living in the samples folder for decades.
We brought him back as a pipeline test for the OmnibusCloud 3ds Max plugin: the scene is submitted straight from Max, travels to the network, and comes back as a finished 154-frame sequence at 4K — the character’s motion blur intact.
Rendered on OmnibusCloud as part of our launch showcase.
