A dome of molten rock swells up between dark boulders, folds over itself and creeps forward — no keyframes, just physics. This is the official Mantaflow viscosity demo from the Blender demo-files collection, the scene the Blender team used to show off high-viscosity fluid simulation.
We picked it for the showcase deliberately: the simulation bake is one long, sequential job — the kind of task that can’t be split across machines and simply has to run until it’s done. It became our reference workload for keeping long-running work alive on the network. After the bake, the 171 frames of 4K rendering spread across the nodes the usual way.
Rendered end-to-end on OmnibusCloud: baked once, rendered in parallel, encoded to the clip you see above.
